WORDPRESS, WEB DESIGN, AND BLAH, BLAH, BLAH…
Watching His Writing Evolve
Catch my post, Illustrate and Write, over at The Pioneer Woman’s Homeschooling Blog.
Today I discuss Kenny’s writing, most specifically, how it flourished when he began his daily illustrate and write pages. If you have a beginning writer in your household, you’ll enjoy deciphering his earlier attempts at writing – and recognize immediately the natural progression of phonics.

Hi – I just read your post on The Pioneer Woman – love this idea – and was wondering if you could tell me where I could find the paper your son is using for his illustrate and write. Thanks!

I just read the post and now I am wondering where you get those pages from. I know I have seen them around before but I cannot remember where. We do like http://www.barebooks.com/Lined%20Big%20Bare%20Book.htm but I’d love to get just the loose leaf pages. Thanks for the ideas!

I’m sorry ladies – I went back and referenced it AFTER the fact and I’ll put the link here too!

Be still my heart…do I see the word “actually” on that page Kenny’s working on!? ;-)

I can’t tell you how much I appreciated your post over at PW! We are homeschoolers, and my son’s writing is an every. single. day. struggle for us.
I printed off a few of the pages you linked to, paired one with a fun writing prompt, and the boy actually wrote something without a fight! Suffice it to say, I printed off thirty more sheets. :)
Comment if ya wanna.
