The Update is Complete! I repeat. The Update IS Complete!

Okay reader-people, I’m going to deactivate my plugins and everything else I gotta do to upgrade to Wordpress 2.1 “Ella.” I’ve been having trouble with my feed and after perusing too many troubleshooting threads at Feedburner, I found this one. And I’m getting in a little late b/c this was for Wordpress version 2.0.7, and I’m still running 2.0.6, even though there is now a 2.1 that fixes EVERYTHING. It is like a golden wand I’m told.

If you are running 2.0.6 … read:

Recently a bug in certain versions of PHP came to our attention that could cause a security vulnerability in your blog. We’re able to work around it fairly easily, so we’ve decided to release 2.0.7 to fix the PHP security problem and the Feedburner issue that was in 2.0.6. It is recommended that everyone running WordPress 2.0.6 or lower upgrade to this new version.

And since there is now a 2.1 - just do it instead.

If this doesn’t fix my feed issue, I’m going to do some throttlin’.

   I need to do this. Truthfully, I’m a little scared to though. I just switched to WordPress a while ago and I haven’t learned much about it and I don’t want to break everything! :-)

   It is very simple if you follow the directions and take your time. You are web savvy enough - no worries!
