My mother-in-law sent this to Jeff and Kenny, but I've already played it 3 times with a high sherry count and I can't stop laughing. Oh my, people...don't drink and hunt; that's all I gotta say.

Jessica had this new Dove video up at her blog and well, with my own issues with weight, I’m posting it too. Consider posting it or the other one at your sites; such a powerful, powerful message.

Went to watch the video. Man, is it powerful. I love the last line you read in the video…”Talk to your daughter before the industry does.” Thanks for posting that, Heather.

Both videos, really put everything in perspective. We don’t realize just how much goes into a “simple” photograph. And we certainly forget how many times women are harrassed by images during the day and reminded how much we don’t measure up. It scares me for my girls.
I love the message, but it’s fishy coming from Dove. Although they do have a great ad campaign going, as a company they are part of the “beauty industry.” Unilever, their parent company, has some products marketed in India to “lighten skin color,” etc. So, although I love the message - underneath it isn’t Dove ALSO trying to buy brand loyalty?
I posted the link. It makes me want to lock Emily in a tower until she’s 30. Sigh.
