I gotta go back, back, back to school again!

Seeing the little things through new eyes.

Yesterday, while I was cleaning up to go inside after a bit of yard work, I noticed Rachel staring intently at the water hose nozzle I had just turned off.

Once I realized what had caught her attention, I ran for my camera.

Everything is fascinating to a kitten.

How precious is that? This little 4 month old kitten still notices all the new things in the world around her. In this case, water drops from a sprayer that had been shut off only moments before…

Oh to share in her joy…to sit and watch water drops with new eyes; to be fascinated by the most simple things in life.

As I was thinking these things and snapping away photos, she looked up to see she wasn’t alone.

Yes, I'm talking about you, Rachel.

Her poise and eyes seem to say, “Oh, are you looking at me?”

Yes sweet Rachel, I’m looking at you.

So.stinkin’.precious.

You mean you don’t just sometimes sit there and look at the falling rain? Same thing. Adorable photos.

It must be the Boymom in me, all I could think of as I was reading this cute little post was that if my boys had seen that scenario, the poor kitten would have been running for cover as they turned the hose on to see what the cat would do(innocently, of course, they aren’t mean and they love their own new kitten)!

Those are the cutest pictures! I am not a cat person (allergies) but I would take meds to have her, she’s adorable.

Now you there is the difference between us. After I snapped the shot I would have squeezed the trigger. Bad Shannon, I know but I hate the neighbor’s cats. Still bad!

This is going to sound weird, but looking her sweet face makes me long for the days when my little Molly, our 12 pound monster cat, was a kitten. She looked exactly like your kitten.

It’s like looking back at baby pictures of your kids and getting sentimental only I’m weird enough to do it with my cat.

I love that first picture. It is awesome. You are such a great photographer.

  19. MMM

I’m not much of a cat fan, but I love the picture. You captured that moment perfectly!
