i am a wife, mother, writer and web designer. balance is the challenge
i rise to everyday.
My mother-in-law sent this to Jeff and Kenny, but I've already played it 3 times with a high sherry count and I can't stop laughing. Oh my, people...don't drink and hunt; that's all I gotta say.

The fine ladies behind the innovative Paknaks have stirred up the kids here in OMSHville. We received five (5) trial Paknaks in the mail and within minutes they were already grabbed-up, traded and traded again in a whirlwind of comments.
“This looks like Kenny!”
“No wait, I wanted THAT one.”
“Is there a kitty cat?”
“Mom! Can this be stuck on ANYTHING?”
After I clarified I’d prefer the Packnaks not be affixed to the bunkbed, the wall, or the couch(????), the search was on for the best place to STICK their new Packnak Charms.
In the end, with my help, they decided to put the first set on our school binders. Although already color coded, this gave the binders more ummmph - we all know binders need ummmph!
Each of the Paknaks are labeled and have their own story.
Meredith liked Mona. Reading her card, we discovered Mona lives in Robert’s Garden (Robert is the robot.). Her favorite food is Apricot Marmalade and her best friend is Bella Bee; sadly Bella hasn’t yet made it to OMSHville, but believe me, she will.
“Momma look! It says Mona’s favorite activity is to tell funny secrets! I LIKE TO TELL FUNNY SECRETS TOO!” said Meredith.
I had no idea. I was thinking ’stocking stuffers’ as I watch her walk off to her room, binder in hand.
Emelie selected Robert, the robot. Always quick to look up things she likes online, she informed me that Robert likes to search for spare parts for his artwork and work in his garden.
Who knew robots had a thing for gardening?
Paknaks are very easy to use and remove. Here Emelie peels Robert off his Velcro backing. She thought she might switch him out with Ralph, the dog.
The Paknaks are really flexible, they seem to ‘hold’ very securely, and yet aren’t a chore to peel from their backing to switch-out or trade.
Talking with Anne, one of the Momma creators of Paknaks, I learned that the most recent line is made from recycled plastic. I can get behind that! Not only that, but they offer free downloadable Paknak coloring pages and an online Nak-Land game.
These are truly fun, inexpensive quick gifts that will last a long while and are great for personalizing nearly anything - including backpacks, lunch bags, cubbies, bins, drawers, and anything else you choose.
I may just have to buy a dozen of the Donny Paknaks for my Kindergarten-2nd Grade Texas Symbols Co-op class next week. Did you know that one of the Texas symbols is a dinosaur? I KNOW! News to me too. I’m thinkin’ my kidds would love one of these.

Those are cool! Too bad they don’t have a train or a rocket! I would’ve bought them up!
These are soooo cute! I want Birdie-Birdie for myself! Stocking stuffers is a great idea.
I’m probably the only one who cares about this - but PakNak is a Portland Company!
These are awesome! I’m thinking Santa may want to check out the PakNaks!
Those look surprisingly nice!
Wow, these look fun!
those look fantastic! I’m going to go check them out… thanks!
These are cute. Heading over to pick out some stocking stuffers.
Those will make great stocking stuffers.
Check out Dinosaur Valley State Park, Glen Rose, Texas! Heh.
I think that they would look edible to my kids, but I went to check them out anyway. Did you know that as part of their business plan they use a company that hires developmentally disabled adults “to help us pack the Naks”? Very cool! I’m going to be posting about that and doing my share to send some business their way, even if I’m not buying something from them right now.
