Every morning I click over to Kirtsy with my first cup of coffee to see what my fellow Kirtsy editors have been posting.
This morning the first link to catch my eye was a contribution from simplesong (that gal has a knack for finding online eye candy), the polkadotshop on Etsy. I was instantly drawn to these Stitched Circle Owl Cards…
And then I got a hankering, as is often the case, to stay around Etsy for a while and look at other owl creations. Oh My Stinkin’ Heck! There are probably MORE owl themed items at Etsy than there are owls on the earth. Don’t believe me? Do a search.
At any rate, I decided today would be a good time to pass on some link lovin’ to a few Etsy artists and their owl-inspired creations.
Moontea artwork was my next stop. Let me take a side-out to show you how my mind works. When I first read the shop name, it was all crammed together in the shop URL link - and it looked like this → moonteaartwork. My mind kept trying to process it as “The Full moonteaartwork”. I’m thinking “The Full Monte Artwork??” huh? Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by less than the full monte.
Owl’s I gotta say is that is the cutest little pencil pouch ever.
I happened across a happy little shot called luckykitty next. She had a couple of adorable stuffed owls. I liked Romeo.
Looking for something a bit different from the other listings I ventured more into mixed-art media of the “junk” variety and found a store I’d never seen before, JewelsofLuxury. This jewelry is fantastic! Of course, I had my eye out for owls, so her owl with a rhinestone monacle caught my attention right away. I love that she’s using vintage watch movements to create her wearable art!
I set her as a favorite seller as quick as you could say, “Owl-righty then!”
It isn’t a trip to Etsy if I don’t check in on one of my first favorite sellers, boygirlparty; I knew she had some cute colored owl sketches in her artwork. And she didn’t fail me - an Owl TO DO LIST. Owls are so very busy, don’tcha know?!
This is a girl that really gives a “hoot” about getting her stuff done on time!
There were many, many more, but I’ve got to get some work AND laundry done today, so I can’t dilly dally much longer. Go on over and visit gypsyandtwink for some adorable cards and cut-outs.
P.S. I’m giving you full permission to help me be a Kirtsy Editor. By that I mean, if you read something fabulous, see something fabulous, want to buy something fabulous, or EVEN BETTER, if you write/design/do something fabulous, SEND ME A LINK. Of course, it must be fabulous - or at least, it must be interesting. Get it? Got it? GOOD!
