Have you heard of the Reverse Graffiti Project sponsored by Green Works? Seriously, I think I'm gonna hire this guy to come do this in my shower.

Emelie isn’t the only one learning how to play the guitar.
I’ve learned D and A7 and I’m rockin’ the bayou with Fontineaux and some other “son of a gun.”
One day I hope that I can actually do this well.
For now, I’m…delayed.
Yes, that’s a good word for it.
For all that responded to yesterday’s post on Grandpas - wow.
So many of you painted the perfect portrait; I could see the man your words so clearly described.
Others of you broke my heart.
Still others made me laugh–there was one in particular this morning that nearly saw egg shoot out my nose.
This is why blogging is so cool…better ‘n a crawfish pie and a filet gumbo.
I know, I KNOW…I need a new song.
“Dress in style, go hog wild, me oh my-oh.”
Hank Williams is rolling over in his grave.

You go girl! (was that cliche’ or what?)
I love Hank and Jambalaya :-)
Lucky for you, Emelie, and me, there is no ’short yellow bus’ that can take us to guitar lessons, right?
You are showing remarkable improvement. I’m so proud.
sharing the grin on my face, ’cause I am happy for you.
Great picture!! Also, good for you. I’ve always wanted to learn, but haven’t the patience.
ACK!!! I’m so proud of you! And you look like such a hot tamale rockin’ the Jambalaya!
HEY! I have a delayed little girl who would be riding the short bus if I didn’t drive her.
:)
Yes, I really do, but no offense taken. Seriously though, I rode the short bus when I was in school - it’s for gifted students too (as there are so few of us they only needed a little bus). So maybe OMSH should be on the ’short yellow bus’.
As soon as I saw the title of thought of that song - love it!
“Jambalya crawfish pie me oh my oh, Sun of a gun we’ll have good fun on the bayou.”
I’ll probably go to bed with that song stuck in my head now. :p
I took 6 months of lessons twelve years ago and none since then. So far my favorite chords that are pretty much the only ones I can play are G, Em, D, and Dm, and C but very poorly. One day, though, I’m going to learn some good campfire songs and wail on my “GEE-tar”, be the woman on the gee-tar acom-acomp-acompanist.(By the way, have you heard any Junior Brown? Oh.my.stinkin’.heck. LOL)
Thanks for making me smile. I’ve been having a weepy week.
Glad all those grandpa stories helped! Hugs
K, I have no idea what any of y’all are talking about with the song lyric thing, but just had to pop on to say that that is a beeeautiful photo!
I want to learn to play the fiddle so bad. In case I ever had to battle satan for my soul. But… I’m not sure how to go about learning. No fiddle instructors around these here parts…
