Inspiration Boards - or, you know … boards in general

I’ve recently lived at flickr. LIVED THERE. I’m sure it is obvious by my tendency to post more pics than words.

Yesterday I got caught up for an HOUR looking through the Inspiration Boards group.

I want to create an inspiration board, but first I need a place to PUT my inspiration board. Working on that. In the meantime I’m gathering inspiration from others.

Like this one:

Two Straight Lines

I added a few of my favorite inspiration pics here. There is everything from plush toys to pretty pictures there, but I love to feast my eyes upon it all. Ain’t photos grand?

Inspiration boards are not something I’ve ever gotten into, but I checked out that Flickr group and bookmarked it. Very cool. And - dare I say - inspiring. :)

To make an inspiration board, that means I’d have to be inspired… But I like your idea of using Flickr Favorites to save some inspirational items. I should really favorite pics more often. In fact, I’m going to go do that to your pic of the trampoline with ice. Not that ice inspires me, but the perspective and visual impact of the photograph inspires me. I’m rambling…

Jill, that is exactly what I do with my Favorites. There is such a range of shots there, but some things just STRIKE me. For instance, Kerflop posted a barn shot that I love, the simplicity of this pic makes me smile, who can resist crayons, and I can’t stop staring at this or the clean, fresh, shabby chicnes here.

Photos inspire me - I also like to collect them because over a period of time I can look back and see a general ebb and flow to my style; it defines my style and makes it easier to make long-term choices … like colors in paint for a room, a piece of furniture, etc…
