i am a wife, mother, writer and web designer. balance is the challenge
i rise to everyday.
My mother-in-law sent this to Jeff and Kenny, but I've already played it 3 times with a high sherry count and I can't stop laughing. Oh my, people...don't drink and hunt; that's all I gotta say.

While I’m twiddling my thumbs waiting for Bethany and family to arrive (yes, you guys guessed it right), I’ll let you know what’s going on with the girls.
The girls are taking a cake decorating class with Izzy (my mom) on Sunday nights. They really do look forward to it, and I do too - FREE CAKE every Sunday evening for me and Jeff! Whohoo!
I think they are doing beautifully. Meredith wasn’t as thrilled with the way her purple icing turned out, but Mom came to her defense and clarified that the purple was a bit stiff.
All I know is my 2nd and 5th graders can ice a cake better than I ever dreamed of icing a cake.
I think Em’s tee says it all.
Actually, her tee says “Christ is the solid ROCK ON which I stand”, but hey, don’t we all take a little literary license in our blogs?
Oh, you don’t?
Yea, whatEVAH.

Well done, Girls. And a nice touch by decorating the plate! I wish I had learned how to do this way back when…
Those look GREAT! And WAY better than I have or will ever do!
If you have some extra … drive it over here … it’s only like a 4 day drive …
That shirt and your girls’ work.. both totally awesome!
I learned how to decorate a cake in Junior High. I don’t remember much now though, but boy was I good then.
Love the shirt…and the colors on the cakes!
MMmmm… cake….
For my daughter’s first birthday… I made her a blue sheet cake and a yellow duck sitting on top (you know… the duck in the water?)
The yellow duck was for her and the blue sheet cake was for the guests.
My husband went to work the next day with a blue stained teeth and tounge. Luckily, he didn’t get in trouble. :)
I think the girls did a good job and free cake every Sunday is better than winning the lotto!
This is part of what I have to look forward to when I have children? This is fantastic!
It’s awesome your girls are learning to do this and what a great way to spend time with Grandma!
they both look awesome!!
